Renew Denture Cleaner is available at our office. To complement your daily brushing, a short bi-weekly soak in the cleanser is recommended for keeping your teeth fresh.

  • If you have dental insurance, please bring your card, as this will save time and allow us to preauthorize treatments and bill directly for procedures

We accept MasterCard, Visa, debit, cash and certified cheque. Financing through Dentalcard is also available. We offer direct billing through a large number of insurance companies for your convenience. Payment is due at the time service is provided. We’re on the second level at Bonnie Doon Shopping Centre, suite 203. Access to the professional offices is located near the south entrance of the bowling alley. An elevator is available for wheelchair and scooter access.

Dental implants are root-shaped structures that are placed into your jawbone. They assist in keeping your dentures in place. Once your gums have healed and the underlying bone has formed around the threads of the implant, your dentist will place the permanent hardware so that the dentures can be anchored in place. Your Denturist will then take the necessary steps to affix the matching components into your dentures.

No! Your Denturist will fabricate the dentures before your implants are placed. Immediately following placement of implants, the dentist will fit the new dentures into your mouth. A soft material will be placed in the base of the denture in order to cushion the impact and foster a healthy environment for the implants to heal properly.

You will be referred to another dental clinic for a consultation. The implants are not placed at our office, but we will assist you with all denture-related procedures, both before and after you’ve had your surgery. Annual checkups are required in order to preserve the health of your implants and the integrity of the dentures. Due to receding gums, relines are also recommended every 2-3 years.

Relining is a refitting of the underside of your denture. A reline will improve fit and comfort, allowing you to chew with reduced stress and reduced soreness. Your Denturist will take impressions inside of the existing appliance in order to capture the current foundation of your mouth, so that the load can be distributed evenly. New material will be added to the denture base in the laboratory and will take 4 to 5 hours. Expect to go without the teeth during this time. For this reason, morning appointments work best, so that we can get the denture back to you by the end of the day.

Just like natural teeth, daily brushing is required to keep the denture clean and free of plaque. A simple hygiene regimen is best if you want to preserve the health of your remaining structures and to keep the appliance bacteria-free.
